Assistant Teacher

Charisma Dance Company

I volunteered as an assistant dance teacher at Charisma Dance Company.  I helped teach a creative movement class to three and four-year-olds.  It was my job to work with them on musicality and fine and gross motor skills.  I gained valuable experiences in working with young children and incorporating dance and music into other activities.

Baby Sitting

i watched and interacted with children in their home settings.  I took care of children ages 0-12, boys and girls, with a wide variety of skills.  I spent significant time with one autistic child.  During my years of service, I read with children, worked with them on learning their shapes and colors, helped them with homework, listened to their stories, took them to parks, and helped them with themed projects.  I was employed by two different families who had me watch their children a minimum of three hours a day for the summer months.  I have also been employed on a part-time, when needed basis by six other families.
