Underbelly Live

Responsible for serving beverages to  guests , accommodating artists that are performing, and maintaining the bar.

-Mixing and serving beverages to customers.
-Creating beverage lists, menus and drink promotions.
-Following all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages.
-Monitoring the intake of alcohol by guests, and prohibiting the sale of alcohol to those who are too intoxicated.
-Engaging guests in conversation.
-Upselling food and beverages to guests.
-Preparing cocktails and other drinks.
-Welcoming, acknowledging and greeting guests who come to the bar.
-Working on my feet for several hours at a time.
-Maintaining appropriate stock levels for the bar.
-Completing cash transactions and processing all credit card payments.
-Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling stock, chairs and tables around.
-Communicating with guests and making them feel appreciated.
-Counting the drawer at the end of the night and paying the artists.

The Blue Fish and Oyster Bar
The responsibilities I had as a hostess included: monitoring the open dining sections of the restaurant, dividing tables equally among servers, estimating wait times, and taking reservations. I would also help to clear tables when we were busy, so the servers wouldn't get behind.
As a server, my main focus was to provide quality customer service. I was responsible for answering any and all questions about the menus, take orders, and have an extensive knowledge of wine in order to make proper recommendations. I worked closely with other wait staff and the kitchen to ensure that the restaurant operated efficiently.
