Director - Business Support, Communications & Community Affairs • 2006-2008

  • Spearheaded the creation of a new organization comprising the largest marketing, communications, community affairs, and advertising staff in the company. Reported to the President of Network & Space Systems, a 6-division, $11B business. 27K employees in 40 states and 9 countries.
  • Architected integrated communications plans that met and exceeded business requirements including contract wins and losses, reduction in workforce, union contract negotiations, cultural change programs, employee crisis and emergency events, facilities consolidation, divestitures, and acquisitions.
  • Advocated and shaped diversity initiatives by leading Hispanic Heritage activities and fostering employee diversity in the workplace.
  • Led an enterprise‑wide program for the Chairman's Initiative on Lean, and worked extensively across divisions to choreograph a one-company approach for continuous improvement.
  • Designed and developed a new website and created brand and collateral presentation materials to reflect the total value proposition of the organization.

Director - Space & Intelligence Systems • 2003-2006

  • Played a key role in the largest, financial public turn around in space history including the design and implementation of an employee cultural change program, and the execution of the announcement of the largest commercial contract in 10 years.
  • Leveraged the largest strategic alliance in defense and commercial IT history with the partnership between Boeing and IBM on Network Centric Operations using commercial IT technology.

 Director - International Communications & Customer Relations • 2000-2003

  • Added a diverse customer relations organization including the successful addition of employees across the U.S. and in several international locations.
  • Worked to reinvigorate the American public's interest in space with significant global positioning and measured improvement in international awareness of Boeing and its capabilities, by teaming with major Universities
  • Designed and implemented the inaugural International Media Tour of 10 key countries - educational tour of several major sites.
  • Teamed with Walter Cronkite, former CBS anchorman and world-renowned journalist, on two major marketing programs.

Senior Manager - Asia Pacific Region • 1997-2000

  • Established baseline for all regional strategic plans by leading cross-functional teams and developing Taiwan and Asian strategies.
  • Rejuvenated Asia Pacific interest in air travel after the Asian Economic Crisis by partnering with internationally recognized CNN newsman Lou Dobbs on an economic development program.
  • Relocated to Beijing, China to work 100-airplane sale to the Peoples Republic during the historic visit of President Clinton.
Program Manager - Asia Pacific Airplane Sales • 1990-1997

  • Key player in mounting $11.5B in commercial aircraft sales in 1995.
  • Teamed extensively with Dr. Henry Kissinger, former Secretary of State and National Security Advisor, to bolster international programs.
Supplier Management – Materiel Division • 1986-1990

  • Directed the complete procurement and quality cycle, including the establishment of requirements through contracts and assembly. Accountable for overall cost and schedule performance of commercial airplane parts and supplier quality. Oversaw contract development and awards of $5-$10M annually.
  • Established strategic supplier relationships focused on cutting costs and improving quality.
