Research Associate,,, Works within a research team where is responsible to formulate hypotheses to test, design research methodology, and record lab procedures being also involved in general management of a shared laboratory and in institutional activities. Created new lines of research and implemented, in collaboration with other team members, high-throughput screening strategies for in vitro drug profiling with applications in drug discovery research. Established new research partnerships with national(e.g. Neurosciences Center from Coimbra; CICECO from University of Aveiro; Institute for Molecular and Cell Biology, Porto) and international research centers(e.g. Max Planck Institute of colloids and Interfaces, Potsdam; University of Cordoba; University of Barcelona) During the research activity in REQUIMTE published 20 papers and 4 book chapters giving an average of 5 papers per year. In the research group anual evaluating meetings consistently exceeded research goals and ranked in the top 5 of a field of 33 senior and junior researchers.

Invited Assistant Professor, of University of Porto (FFUP), Porto, Taugh integrated MSc Students of Pharmaceutical Sciences, theoretical and practical lessons of" Nanotherapeutics and Nanodiagnostics" using a variety of teaching and motivational strategies including discussions, cooperative learning, demonstrations and materials to supplement presentations. Actively instructed and independently designed lesson plans; assumed full charge of practical classes and collaborated with colleagues in theoretical classes. Collaborated with colleagues in implementing student engaged learning activities including discussions of hot topic research papers, oral presentations, design of a nanoformulation based on case studies. Engaged undergraduate students in research by developping short demonstrating movies of preparation methods of lipid nanoparticles, liposomes and polymeric nanoparticles. Promoted a positive collaboration with other teachers through effective team- building.
