Formulated and executed an actionable brand strategy that grew audience ratings as well as

page views and unique views for web.Implemented improvements in day to day programming

and operations including:

  • Coaching, developing and training staff
  • Creating fun, compelling and relevant “appointment based” contests and promotions resulting in higher listener usage and brand loyalty
  • Personally writing and producing all station imaging and promos
  • Restructuring Selector clocks, rules and library. Scheduling daily music logs
  • Engaging listener database with weekly e-Blasts to drive tune-in and web hits

Commissioned 2 local research studies in San Antonio that illuminated the most direct path to

audience growth and satisfaction for the brand in a highly competitive, heavily Hispanic market.

2000 - 2006

Direct content and programming oversight of 32 radio stations nationwide with formats ranging

from Rhythmic Top-40 to Adult Contemporary.Weekly conference call leadership with all

program directors to review strategic planning, promotional/marketing execution and determination of weekly music changes.Also:

·Project manager for the launch of over 15 successful radio station brands in

diverse markets and varying formats.Travel to markets to assure smooth product

·launch and ongoing management of station.

·Creation and/or oversight of direct mail, print, outdoor, TV, web and e-blast marketing

creative.Assured each station was presented consistently in all advertising, and all

on-air promos according to the station’s unique brand strategy.

·Created national contests for Cumulus Media stations twice a year for four years

including writing the majority of all promo copy and entirely overseeing the production

execution of individual packages.

·Designed and presented hundreds of perceptual studies and auditorium music tests.

·Created detailed strategic action plans from research data and study findings.

Additional Highlights:

·Formed strategic partnership with Promo Only/Play MPE to provide Cumulus Media

with uncompressed, current and library song audio at no cost for HD conversion.

Also participated in product development calls for PlayMPE software.

·First to utilize Cumulus Media’s existing FTP server to distribute music to our stations,

saving the company substantial costs for shipping and distribution of new music product.

·Utilized same server to distribute emergency news during the 9-11 crisis to non-news-subscribing stations resulting in substantial savings
