EVP Operations

IMI BEVCORe Solutions

BEVCORe is a major distributor of service parts and equipment in the food and beverage industry, serving customers worldwide.

At BEVCORe, I led two teams through defining requirements for ERP and WMS, evaluating RFPs, demos and technology selections.  The results were remarkable, an ROI of less than 18 months for a multi-million dollar investment.  BEVCORe gained market share at an astounding rate (from 35% to 74% in just two years), taking a unique and innovated approach of extending the supply chain beyond the BEVCORe warehouse. Customers not only purchased products from us, they became part of the supply chain. This significantly reduced shortages, improved demand planning/forecasting and led to reduced inventory costs for both BEVCORe and its customers.

  • Promoted to this position due to my previous performance at IMI Cornelius (below).
  • Organized and implemented ERP system, WMS system, scanners, scales, supporting software, etc., resulting in significant process improvements, with substantial increases in productivity/efficiencies, which reduced our overall costs.
  • Learned all aspects of customer expectations by directly working with customers in identifying what we could do to help in their order and receiving processes.
  • Continually demonstrated effective leadership and encouraged team concepts. Developed and led focus teams to identify process improvements. Worked with Information Technology and became Project Leader to develop software/hardware to implement several improvements company wide.
  • Managed all operations for our distribution facility and responsible for order fulfillment globally.
  • Approved requisitions for equipment, materials and supplies within limits of budget.
  • Negotiated contracts with equipment, materials suppliers, transportation/logistics companies, building leases, etc.
  • Designed warehouse optimization floor plans based on throughput, safety, etc.
  • Managed inventory planning of more than 100,000 SKU's, including demand planning and forecasting.
  • Coordinated work between Operations, Procurement, Marketing, Business Development, and Customer Care to complete the fulfillment of sales orders along with inventory management.
  • Responsible for building security, safety, fire, etc.
  • Directed investigations into causes of customer and shipper complaints, QA complaints, etc.
  • Performed customer site visits to find ways to improve our operations and ensure our product, packaging, documentation, labeling, etc., were exceeding customer expectations.
  • Managed three shifts, a total of more than 150 people.
  • Developed and managed VMI/SMI programs.
  • Managed extensive kitting and assembling processes.
  • Created a video testimonial on the business with software partners (PeopleSoft & HighJump).
