Project Manager


Manages resources, timeline, scope, and budget of eLearning multimedia development projects in a client-facing role while managing a portfolio of accounts that includes major US pharma companies such as BMS, Bayer, Celgene, Merck and Pfizer, reporting to the project director.  Each project ranges between 100k and 500k.

  • Led and pioneered the subsidiary's first annotated reprint iPad app project (for BMS' Erbitux brand) and conducted the subsidiary's first in-depth post-mortem analysis based on lessons learned from this project.

  • Successfully delivered a major project for the development of an e-learning program tied to the summer 2012 US launch of Bayer's Contour NEXT series of blood glucose meters.

  • Heading a developmental project for a comprehensive global training program (training needs analysis, e-learning, user guides, workshops) tied to Merck's launch of a new Product Management Registration system.

Developed rail pricing, publication renewals, and assisted in pricing strategies for the transport of organic and inorganic chemicals (approx. $25,000,000 in annual revenue), reporting to the director of marketing.

Managed a team of 7 case managers and 3 assistants that were responsible for the day-to-day operation of the company's 3rd largest revenue-generating patient support program (XHALE), reporting to the senior manager.  Additional responsibilities included client management and coordinating with the heads of the clinical nursing, logistics and distribution, and pharmacy divisions.

  • Conducted an unprecedented case manager labor capacity analysis of the program.

  • Introduced new client reports on Xolair® sales gap analysis and patient compliance issues.

  • Redesigned a report used to track patient status movement and sales conversions.

Led a group of 6 project managers and 3 assistants that were responsible for the operational management of market research projects worth $8.4M in 2008 (10% of net sales), reporting to the chief operating officer.

  • Re-built a team 6 project managers within the first 10 months as Team Leader.
  • Developed a Basic Entry Training Program for newly recruited project managers.
  • Redesigned and streamlined an analytical planning and documentation tool used across BUs.
  • Developed a forecast of man-hour requirements during peak business season.
  • Planned, budgeted, and coordinated a bowling team building event for a group of 20 people.
  • Rewarded with Star Achievement Award in July 2008.

  • Designed a client-specific presentation template which was adopted as a standard.
  • Earned Excellence in Project Execution Award in August 2007.

With a career in pharma / life sciences spanning 13 years, Mark is a business manager specializing in project management, client relationship management, team leadership, and process management. He has brought his managerial and analytic skills to a number of service-side industries such as contract laboratory research, market research, and integrated healthcare services.  He is currently bringing those skills to the training/e-learning industry.Mark attended Concordia University in Montréal, Canada from which he holds a B.Sc. (Hons) degree and two business certificates. In 2012, he earned his MBA at Concordia’s reputable John Molson School of Business.  He has recently obtained PMP Certification.
