As an implementations Engineer i have proved my skills from my previous job role and was promoted from within. In this job role I have performed various technical tasks ranging from patching existing computers in our customers network to the latest version of our POS software (such as HMV, National Trust and Burberry) to also setting up new stores onsite and remotely.

In this position I have been commended for my stand out work and achieved recognition in the form of a 'Star Performer Award' on two major projects.

At this position i worked as a Computer Repair Technician, which encompasses skills ranging from soldering components, parts replacement, hardware issues identification and software support.

Types of repair include modular computers, all in one computers, laptops, LCD screens, touch screens, power supplies, tablets, scanners, cash drawers and printers.

At GAME i worked with computer gaming hardware. Duties included Hardware tear down (specifically Xbox 360 and Playstation 3) using specific tools, repair, replace and refurbishment of inner components, fault testing, reassembly, stress testing and logical thinking to decipher the problem. Knowledge of health and safety while working, proper care of components by using an ESD strap as well as anti-static clothing. Working towards a deadline as a certain number of units had to be completed per day.

I have knowledge of software systems such as SAP, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Dynamics NAVISION and Norton Ghost for business use and also knowledge of tools such as Photoshop, Virtual Machines, Android custom software and File sharing protocols.

I have learnt practical skills such as soldering at component level on circuit boards using both hot rework stations and soldering irons. I am capable of reading voltages, amps and watts using multi-meters to better understand problems with power.

Hobbies & Interests

I am an enthusiast of all things related to technology and computing, therefore I like to keep an up to date knowledge and collection of the latest hardware and software. I have invested in and setup my own Server with 15TB of storage in RAID 0, as well as building two of my own PCs in the last couple of years. In my free time I enjoy video games,  martial arts, *photography, movies, mountain biking and socialising with friends.
