The Canadian subsidiary of the US based mass merchant and operator of 133 retail locations across Canada with more than 17, 000 employees

Responsible for directing and evaluating a team of over 1, 000 employees, managing business operations and opening of 10 retail locations in largest geographic district and strategizing and executing growth initiatives.  Establishing procedures to exceed standards of operations, maximizing guest experience and retention, and ensuring cost-control by managing and improving employee performance across all functional areas.

Selected Accomplishments:

Despite corporate challenges, was able to create success regionally and earn Top District in Canada for: Sales, Payroll Management, Guest Experience, and Redcard Guest Enrollment.  Exceeded sales targets and maximized revenue by fostering excellence and accountability in district team.  Achieved 96 per cent on Leadership Survey as scored by reporting employees.   Recognized for exceptional leadership efforts as recipient of multiple awards during tenure.  Top district in volunteer hours for 2013 (1,905).

Canada's second-largest movie exhibitor with annual sales of more than $200 million, operating 53 locations from coast-to-coast with more than 2, 500 employees.

Responsible for overseeing and directing all operational aspects of 53 theatre locations, maximizing guest concession sales and gross revenues, and exceeding financial goals and growth objectives. Increasing organizational efficiencies, ensuring quality improvement and fiscal management, and leading team to achieve highest level of customer satisfaction and retention.

Selected Accomplishments:

Reduced labour costs by $3 million+ through introduction of sales forecasting and labour management programs.  Improved concession sales by $0. 17 per guest by establishing new operating procedures, queue line management, service upgrades and personnel management.  Reduced concession costs by $900K by implementing loss prevention program and improving inventory management.  Delivered cost savings of $350K by establishing strategic initiatives, streamlining procedures and improving employee productivity and performance.   Achieved highest employee and guest satisfaction scores while driving revenue growth and both customer and employee retention
