Following a successful career as a hydrogeologist, Marilyn Hajicek founded Blue Trout Resources, a personal and community history company. Serving clients in Colorado, Ms. Hajicek assists families and communities with preserving their prized memories and history through engaging books. Ms. Hajicek meets with clients in order to get a sense of their vision of the project and coordinates interviews with the “storytellers” of the community or family narrative.Subsequent to the interviews, materials are gathered such as family genealogy information, prized photographs, newspaper clippings and other memorabilia that will assist in creating a rich portrayal of the story being told. The final product is an heirloom quality book that weaves together the fascinating narrative with meaningful illustrations that will be passed down for generations. Marilyn Hajicek and her team often volunteer their services to elderly clients who wish to document their stories but cannot afford the costs involved. <?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
