Technical Product Manager and Acting Scrum Coach for customer portals Equinix Customer Portal and Equinix Marketplace that business customers use to lower the cost of safeguarding their IT infrastructure from physical or electrical (i.e. power outage) threats.

Key Accomplishments:

  • Led security-focused initiatives to focus on web portal quality control throughout the SDLC and authentication requirements for these customer portals while still making high security convenient for the customer.
  • Leveraged Salesforce.com and Siebel APIs to create a customer experience that acts as a single pane of glass containing all of the customers’ relevant data.
  • Leveraged automated analytics tools such as Google Analytics and cursor tracking tools to quantify customer use cases and redesign the portal to focus on customer needs
  • Adapted my role to fit short term business needs while participating in long term strategic planning for permanent solutions

Product Owner for eBay’s and PayPal’s primary intranet web site for employees, also project managed vendors and engineers splitting financial applications and infrastructure in preparation for PayPal’s separation from eBay

Key Accomplishments:

  • Implemented Scrum best practices to optimize team performance using Agile principles, revised the estimation process, and coached developers on how to work cohesively together, in 2-week ‘sprints’ as a team
  • Planned a complete redesign of an internal web portal that would be integrated with both eBay and PayPal internal tools during the period eBay and PayPal were preparing to split off from each other.
  • Worked with architects to document and plan network infrastructure activities to facilitate a successful split, including disaster recovery contingency plans.

      Product manager for a new web-based B2B Software as a Service (SaaS) automated security-testing tool OEM’d by Intel and sold as the “Intel Certified Software Program”.

      Key Accomplishments:

      • Defined engineering and marketing criteria in PRDs and MRDs to address customer’ certification requirements, subsequently, certification subscriptions were purchased by 150 business customers over a 1-year lifecycle, and was SpikeSource’s most successful product
      • Conceptualized and implemented marketing messaging for both SaaS products based on customers’ stated needs, requests, and use cases
      • Designed and presented sales training material to familiarize sales force with the product and value proposition.
      • Collaborated with marketing and sales to identify a potential new market that extended product life, and defined the marketing message to reach new target, creating product collateral, leading to doubling leads and lead conversions
