CJ's Italian Kitchen

I have been a server, on and off, for the past 9 years. I worked at Bob Evans Restaurant through high school and college as well as Applebee's and CJ's Italian Kitchen. For a better part of a decade, I've learned to positively interact with individuals of all capacities and have maintained a healthy respect for diverse cultures. I have also experienced situations in which my integrity and accountability have been tested, strengthening my character.

  • At CJ's Italian Kitchen, I am responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with co-workers,    employers and most importantly, the customer.
  • I am responsible for being knowledgeable of the CJ's unique menu items and nightly features.
  • I am responsible for raising awareness and further establishing the brand that is "CJ's."
  • I am responsible for generally enjoying my job...which I do luckily :)

Master of Arts

Marietta College

Marietta College has provided me with invaluable insights into the world of corporate media communications. During my two years there, I gained a healthy respect for the global media markets and fostered an appreciation for the strategies and policies used to maintain these industries. I also achieved a greater level of proficiency with broadcast production and video editing during my time spent abroad in Queensland and Northern Australia in May 2011.

May 2011 - Jun 2011

Bond University

During a three week course centered in three cities of Australia, I developed a concept for a promotional video for future students at Marietta College that may be interested in international study abroad. I wrote the scripts, taped the video content and edited the footage to create a three minute promotional video for studying abroad in Australia. I used to the Final Cut Pro 5 program to edit my footage using the latest Apple technology.

Bachelor of Arts

Marshall University

I attended Marshall University for four years while earning my bachelor of arts degree in Public Relations. While there, I also obtained credit to earn a minor in communications studies and eventually earn a minor in Spanish while studying abroad in Madrid in 2009. During my time spent with The Thundering Herd, I was active in PRSSA, the student paper, The Parthenon and the Honors Program. I was also a member of the academic fraternity, Gamma Beta Phi for two years until my graduation. Thanks to my academic experiences in the W. Page Pitt School of Journalism, I feel I am adequately prepared to start a career in the field of media and communications.

May 2009 - Jun 2009

Universidad Antonio de Nebrija

For five weeks, I took three advanced Spanish classes focusing on grammar, language and culture. During these writing-intensive and linguistically challenging courses, I learned much about the Hispanic culture and how to conduct myself in a diverse environment. Upon receiving credit for these courses, I earned a minor in the Spanish language while at Marshall University.
