Believing that the teaching profession is the noblest one to get into, Marc Bednarczyk had already geared his sights towards obtaining the proper educational background in preparation for this profession. Spending his academic period at the University of Phoenix in Madison, Wisconsin, Marc chose to take two degrees which he felt would definitely help him become one of the state’s best educators: a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication with concentration on Culture and Communication; and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership with concentration on Curriculum and Instruction. Armed with his two degrees, Marc Bednarczyk decidedly embarked on his journey towards great teaching. Marc joined Crestwood Elementary School as 3rd Grade Social Sciences Teacher, where for 6 months from January till June 2003, he handled his classes guided by the National Standards for Civics and Government prescribed by the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS). Mr. Bednarczyk’s next assignment was with Augusta Elementary School, where from August 2003 to June 2004, he handled 6th Grade Language Arts following the guidelines set forth by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). His succeeding assignments at Augusta Middle School (7th and 8th Grade Social Sciences, August 2004 to June 2007) and at Carson Academy of Science (6th Grade Culture and Civics, August 2007 to June 2010) have both been highlighted by Marc’s dedication and genuine passion for educating his students. His having majored in Curriculum and Instruction has helped Marc Bednarczyk develop class structures that allow his students to learn at their own pace, thereby maximizing their precious time in school.
