This project involves supporting the entire Power Supply Services applications suite of the clients. Responsible for working closely with the Business Users to identify and understand the gaps between IT and Business, supporting and managing all kinds of tickets raised by Business Users, ensure strong SLA adherence with a strong focus on Continuous Improvement.

OMAR-PDR-MV90 Comparison Automation

Power supply meter data management group (MDAS) required ability to automatically download OMAR data from CAISO, PDR (Data Repository) and also wanted ability to automatically compare SCE's MV90 Meter data with it. 

The entire process was done manually by downloading the CSV file from OMAR data and since the file size is really huge it cannot be opened in Excel.  The Downloaded CSV file was fed into MONARCH (tool to process large data) manually to pivot the data by resource and that is manually compared with MV90 data.  Similarly, the PDR data was downloaded from the internal meter (PDR) system and compared to the MV90 data. This was really a time consuming process and there are lot of room errors.

Home Area Network Phase - I and II

Edison Smart Connect® was designed to work with the State-of-the-art equipment and wireless technology to enable automated connection between customers, meter and the grid. Several new devices were introduced as part of this project. Procurement and installation of these devices took place as part of this project. Design of ENS (Event notification system)was also part of this project.

Rationalizing various business units' IT applications portfolio and create a road-map for near and longer term IT investments. This was a very important exercise considering the direct visibility of the CXOs of the client. Infosys prepared a consolidated report with analysis of more than 1600 applications ranging across Finance, HR, Nuclear, Transmission and Distribution, Customer Service business units, identifying short, medium and long term disposition for individual applications. Also, a comprehensive road-map was created to rationalize the entire IT applications portfolio to deliver maximum operational efficiency, bringing in cost savings and high business-IT adherence.


  • Interviewed the clients’ stakeholders (IT owners/Business owners/Senior Leadership) to understand the applications and its value proposition to the business of the client.
