Seeking to obtain a position as a librarian for elementary grades K-8 that will allow me to express my passion for reading and implement a learning program incorporating 21st Century Learning Skills that will instill the transformational power of children's literature and create a drive for lifelong learning.

Manage both the library and computer lab while teaching students in grades K-4. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to design lessons that incorporate learning standards and curricular content
  • Supervised the transition of all library circulation materials from Sagebrush Infocentre to Destiny software
  • Catalogue books and media using Follett's Destiny software
  • Successfully create NWEA schedules and oversee all testing
  • Assiste teachers, staff and students to locate, assess and use information that align with Common Core standards
  • Participate in the Bluestem and Monarch Book Awards
  • Designe hallway displays and bulletin boards to promote specific topics and/or reading interests
