Over the course of nearly a decade, Malia Okita has enjoyed an outstanding career in sales. This places her at the head of more than $2,500,000 in yearly revenues. Malia Okita launched her career in 2005 as the Assistant to the General Manager of the Hotel Montgomery. She spent more than a year with the hotel, where she was responsible for updating monthly forecast and budget reports, organizing social events, and developing room set-up directions for staff.Prior to starting her career, Malia Okita attended San Jose State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management with a minor in Business Administration.As an active member of her professional community, Malia Okita participates in Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI). MPI strives to develop a worldwide network of meeting and event planning experts, and the HSMAI is dedicated to providing resources to hotel management that will assist in the growth of their businesses.
