M.Sc. in Materials for Nuclear Energy

The Master MaNuEn - Materials science for Nuclear Energy - and the Master EMINE - Science Innovation in Nuclear Energy - are international masters program for students willing to work in nuclear industry, R&D or research centers.

Master MaNuEn is jointly organised the Academic institute INSTN and supported industrial partners:
- EDF worldwilde leader in nuclear industry with its own institute MAI Material Ageing Institute,
- CEA is the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energie Commission.

MaNuEn is two years master program designed to cover specificities of materials used in a nuclear environment from nuclear fuels to structural materials of nuclear reactors, with special focus on their durability under irradiation.

European Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering

This Master degree in Nuclear Engineering allows students to acquire a deep degree of knowledge in nuclear energy’s theory and practical fundamentals as well as in the technology that is associated to the production of energy by means of nuclear fission’s mass production.
The Master benefits itself from the existing collaboration with ENDESA and with the -CSN- (Nuclear Security Council). Furthermore, other institutions that are involved in the sector’s research ambit also participate in the Master, both in the educational ambit and in reception of students that are willing to carry out internships. An example of these institutions would be the CIEMAT, ENUSA, TECNATOM, ENSA, Initec-Westinghouse and ENRESA, amongst others.
This master degree is a combination of theory and practical activities (lecturing classes, autonomous study, resolution of exercises, use of calculus codes and practical sessions in laboratories) with guided visits to several nuclear installations.

As a member of the Safety Research and Reactor Technology institute (IEK-6), My master thesis titled: "Verification of the coupling between 1D Best-estimate thermal-hydraulic system code ATHLET and 3D Computional fluid dynamic (CFD) software Package ANSYS CFX" in which numerical assessment for the previously developed coupling scheme - specifically
the verification phase - has been accomplished.
