Miles Ackroyd

I work for The Haunted Schoolhouse and Laboratory in Akron, OH. I work on the sets and scenery right now. I repair and create props as well. I will be doing make up for them during the season.

Director-Mike Wech. February 2012.  I created torn flesh wounds, bruising, and blood effects for this trailer, based on the upcoming novel, Seven-X. The feature is hoping to start shooting December of this year.

Director-Quincy Newton. February 2012.  I created make-up effects on an actor. It was a knife-wound with the handle protruding from the neck. Also, I laid blood-tubing on actors.

Director-George Roberson. September 2011.  I worked on a film by Dream Hunter Studios, which is based out of Los Angeles, CA. The film was called The Fifth Dimension. I was a mold maker and an assistant/background make up artist. I also assisted with the life casting. I applied a corpse make up on set and assisted with full body painting.

I worked on the short film called Myth, which was produced by the Douglas Education Center in Monessen, PA. It was filmed in the spring of 2011. I was a prop maker and assistant set designer/builder,
