Retail Associate

Whitmire's Fine Jewelry

It's my job to make sure that everyone who enters the store has a pleasant and helpful experience. I have made myself knowledgeable about our inventory and services because it's important to me to have the answer when a costumer asks me a question. It is also my responsibility to keep the store neat, tidy, and aesthetically pleasing. I clean the jewelry, Windex all of the glass display cases multiple times a day, dust, sweep, vacuum, create displays, keep displays stocked and organized, as well as stopping whatever project I'm working on to greet and offer my assistance as soon as a customer enter the establishment.

Attending College

Horry-Georgetown Technical College

I graduated high school with such a high gpa that I'm attending HGTC for free. I'm spending this time to figure out for sure what career path I want to take. I'm being smart about my time and taking general classes that will transfer over to whatever major I decide.

High School Deploma

Georgetown High School

I accomplished all my needed credits a semester early. I had the ability to graduate a full year ahead of schedule but chose to stretch it out so I could walk the stage with the people I've gone to school with since I was five.

I am great at getting merchandise out the door. I give the customer the attention they need. I relate to them and connect with them. I build trust so when they ask for my professional opinion they take stock in it. I find it gives them the extra push they needed to head to the register. I make them feel special so they leave having had a great experience. To me that's the most tried and true, sure fire way to create repeat business.
I am familiar with P.O.S. systems and comfortable using them.
Customer Service
I have substantial experience in customer service. The jewelry store I work at is located at The Hammock Shops in Pawleys Island, a destination for many tourists, therefore I have experience working with people from all different backgrounds with all different attitudes. I have assisted nightmare costumers and never lost my professionalism.

John Henry Whitmire

Owner of Whitmire's Fine Jewelry. He's my current employer. I have apprenticed under him in the jewelry business. Everything I know I know because of him. He has spent a lot of time with me and seen me grown since when I first came to him never having had a job before. He could validate my work ethic and readiness to learn the business I'm involved in.

Carol Kennedy

The Manager of Sales at Whitmire's Fine Jewlery. She has worked with me for a long time now and could easily validate my customer service skills.
