I am a motivated, public relations student ready to find an exciting internship within public relations in the Portland, Oregon area. I have a special interest in consumer public relations. However, I am eager to gain more experience and would be ecstatic to find any type of public relations internship starting in the summer of 2010.

I am a student at the University of Oregon studying public relations, communications and business. I am an account executive for Recycle Your Mat, in the process of working on a PR plan for University of Oregon program, Competition Not Conflict and was the public relations intern with Eugene non-profit, NextStep Recycling.  I love being able to take the skills I have learned in the classroom and use them in the real world to help a good cause. I am also a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America, PRSSA.  I plan to graduate from the University of Oregon in June of 2010 and hopefully find a public relations job in the Portland metro area or wherever the opportunity arises.

University of Oregon

I have been a student at the University of Oregon since 2006 and have grown tremendously through out the last three and a half years. When first arriving at the University of Oregon I wanted to be a Business Major but quickly realized that I had a great passion for writing. I have always been a great communicator and a people person, which helped me choose my focus to be public relations. The public relations industry is made up of so many different aspects that I believe I excel in. I love to multi-task, write, plan, organize, and see results with everything I do. Although I came to the U of O, knowing little about the public relations industry my education has prepared me to enter into the real world of PR, which will be happening when I graduate in June of 2010.
