Establish a leading pan European pharmacy partnership concept for the independent pharmacists. Develop market propositions for Celesio’s services in the cooperation segment, in close cooperation with countries and group functions

  • Developed cooperation brand strategy and design guidelines, to create a unique identity. Worked with the key existing cooperation markets Germany and France to ensure a harmonised brand approach through local implementation of brand guidelines
  • Worked with the local French team to adapt the concept, to the local market requirements whilst maintaining the EPN key pillars – Branding, Expert categories, Training, customer focus. After the successful launch of the optimum member, supported in development of the offer for the different cooperation levels. From June 2014 to April 2015, the 5 pilot stores increased average turnover by +17%: Retail +24% and RX +13.3%.
  • Supported project management in the piloting and roll out of EPN concept to other wholesale markets, sharing learning to improve the roll-out process. Supported manufacturer’s solutions team in identifying upstream potential of services and launching the Patient Support Program.
  • Development of training materials, specific kits in Pain and Skincare conditions, for the pharmacy team development. Developed virtual sales brochure to support new partner acquisition.

Walgreens Boots Alliance is the first global pharmacy-led, health and wellbeing enterprise in the world. Created through the combination of Walgreens and Alliance Boots in December 2014, with a presence in more than 25 countries, employs over 370,000.

Responsible for the services portfolio of Alliance Healthcare for the French market, where approximately 200K services were sold per year, delivering a turnover of 3.5 Million per anim.  Maintained and drove the 20 existing services and developed 3 additional services.

  • Monitored and updated existing services with the creation of sales reports and implementation of weekly review meetings. Presentation of the results to sales director, operational responsible, and members of the management board.
  • Managed in-life service performance with the creation of a P&L for each service. Identified weaknesses and planned corrective actions e.g. review of the sales incentive, creation of direct for pharmacist and indirect marketing material for supporting the sales forces.
  • Monitored internal processes for efficiency improvement and supported the know-how of the sales team (130 sales representatives). Developed improvements to sales process on best ways to sell the benefits of the services to the pharmacists and how to achieve a successful implementation.  
  • Increased sales representative’s awareness around the services by joining them monthly in the field and visiting pharmacies. Identified best practices from the visits with the best performing sales representative, ensuring best practices were captured in the internal sales newsletter and folder.
  • Managed all partnerships with external providers: price negotiations, promotion, service development and execution in the field. This lead to an 18% growth in services in 2013.
  • Developed and implemented new services for the independent pharmacists by analysing the pharmacy market and identifying gaps. Evaluation of the customers’ requirements during the pharmacy visits, direct exchange with the pharmacist and their team. This led to the creation of three new services - Best in Class Merchandising, Management Skills and Back Office Solutions.
  • Identified the business and operational requirements and set up objectives for each service in collaboration with the national Sales Director.
  • Coordinated and developed working relationships with relevant internal functions. Developed the pilot with target customers to test and validate new services prior to launch. Reviewed feedbacks, results and adjusted the services. The three new services were piloted in Q2 2013 and following successful feedback, were launched to the full French market in Q4 2013.
