Over the course of his career, Maarten de Jeu has established a track record of success in driving corporate growth. He divides his time between his role as the Director of Strategy and Corporate Development for Aviva North America, a division of insurance giant Aviva PLC, and as a part-time consultant on behalf of a large Chicago real estate asset firm. In both positions, Maarten de Jeu leverages his keen business acumen to build profitable deals, identify market potential, and increase sales.Maarten de Jeu holds an Executive Master of Business Administration with distinction from the University of Oxford, where he studied behavioral finance, decision science, management accounting, valuation, and many other subjects. As the top in his class, he earned the Dean’s Prize for highest academic achievement. He also holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Leiden University, where he focused on strategy and organization.Maarten de Jeu completed his graduate studies while serving TVDK Management Consultants in Amsterdam, where he enjoyed rapid promotions since joining the organization in 1999. By 2003, he was managing high-profile projects across several European countries as a Senior Associate. In 2006, his ability to identify opportunities led him to insurance giant Aviva PLC, the sixth largest insurance firm worldwide. Over the next two years, as Manager and International Consultant for Research and Development within Aviva’s European division, Maarten de Jeu identified a number of expansion targets in Spain, Belgium, and India. The resulting expansions increased revenue by more than $3 billion.In 2008, Aviva recruited Maarten de Jeu to his current role in the company’s North American division. Establishing himself in the busy insurance and real estate markets of Chicago, he soon added entrepreneurship to his list of accomplishments. He now offers independent consulting services to real estate investors and privately held small- and medium-sized entities.
