Summary

Hello,

My name is Don Zelichowski.  I am a dynamic, hard working, forward thinking person with several years of supervisory experience seeking an opportunity to help your company move ahead in today's competetive market.  I possess a tremendous upside and limitless potential for advancement.  I would be an asset to your company.

My career started at Denso Mfg. MI in Battle Creek, MI in 1989.  From my ground floor opportunity I spent ten years learning and perfecting my craft, interpersonal and relationship management skills.  Also during that time I received some of the best training available in the manufacturing world.  Some of my training included Safety Training in an Industrial Environment, Denso Robot Training, Allen Bradley Touch Screen Controller Training and Public Speaking.  In spite of this formal training, I also was able to become a knowledge expert on several different types of multi-million dollar auto parts manufacturing machines such as 500 ton stamping presses, vacumn brazing furnaces, rolled aluminum radiator, heater core and evaporator fin-forming machines, core assembly machines and several other types of machines.  Some of my accomplishments include...

  •  Developed and implemented a pieces per hour tracking sheet
  • Developed and implemented an associate performance tracking sheet
  • Twelve years of evaporator core assembly experience
  • Assisted in implementation of new MS Evaporator process
  • Authored several work instruction manuals for new process
  • Constant involvement in the maintenance of machinery
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience on 25+ different machinery
  • Exceeded 1000 point BEAM/suggestion program milestone

As my career progressed, I realized that I had a passion for management.  Because I am a driven, results oriented person, and because I am highly competetive, I looked at advancement into management as a challenge and a way to win in the workplace.  If having the "go to" team in a given department means winning, then my record is second to none.

  •  Job duties included managing teams of9 to 20 associates, assisting the development and growth of associates, providing high quality automotive parts to customers, troubleshooting machinery, promoting a friendly atmosphere and ensuring a safe working environment while striving for continuous process improvement.
  • Also included are activities toward achieving and maintaining area and department goals, overseeing leak and scrap reduction activities, and participating in area improvement activities such as Kaisen projects.

  • Responsibilities include overseeing development and performance ofassociates and improvement of production and quality performance.
  • Responsible for coordinating of training activities for new, transferred and temporary associates and maintaining their on-the-job training records.

  • Resolve associate concerns, conduct performance appraisals, administer discipline and facilitate associate relations within the department.

  • Oversee equipment to ensure that it is functional, in good repair and within safety codes. Communicate with the maintenance department regarding equipment problems.

  • Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot machinery to keep production line running.

  • Ensure all safety rules are followed and compliant with all TS-16949 and ISO-1401 requirements.

In June of 2006 on the eve of promotion, My family and I decided that a career change was the best decision for us.  I started researching how to successfully transition into the insurance world and become an Insurance Agent.  This bold decision led me to a company called Bankers Life and Casualty Company.  With help from them, I obtained my insurance licenses in Life, Health and Accident Insurance.

Though never having done sales, I exceled.  I achieved a milestone and was a branch contest winner within the first two months with the company.  My wife and I received an all expense paid trip to Chicago for a three day reward.

After nine months with Bankers, I realized that I could help more people by becoming an independent agent.  I left Bankers and created Infinity Benefits Group.  The initial startup was an enormous learning process that helped me grow and blossom into a successful business owner and entreprenuer.  Through Infinity Benefits Group I am currently contracted with 60+ carriers that are widely considered to be the most dynamic and financially solvent companies in the business.

With a tight economy looming in 2008, I decided that I could run my business and go back and do what I do best and that is manage people.  I accepted a Team Facilitator position with ASMO MFG in Battle Creek Michigan.  I was in charge of the Washer Department on my respective shift.  Some of my job duties included....

  • Responsibilities include overseeing development and performance of 15 associates   and improvement of production and quality performance.
  • Responsible for coordinating of training activities for new, transferred and temporary associates and maintaining their on-the-job training records
  • Resolve associate concerns, conduct performance appraisals, administer discipline and facilitate associate relations within the department.
  • Oversee equipment to ensure that it is functional, in good repair and within safety codes.
  • Communicate with the maintenance department regarding equipment problems.
  • Ensure all safety rules are followed and compliant with all TS-16949 and ISO-14001

After only five shorts months with ASMO, I was promoted to the Technical Training Specialist.  I was given the responsibility to create and develop a training department for the company that would serve everyone from temporary workers right on up through the executive level.  ASMO did not currently have a department or skeleton, for that matter, in place when I started this position.  I had to start from scratch.

  •  Conduct needs assessments and instructional analysis to identify company-wide training needs and develop training plans to ensure conformity with mission training objectives.
  • Consult with management and supervisors to confirm program/system objectives, operations procedures and system/program constraints. Confer with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technology.
  • Actively search, creatively design and implement effective methods to education. Prepare teaching outline plans and timelines and determine instructional methods for delivery such as individual training, group instruction, demonstrations and workshops.
  • Development of performance based measurement assessments for objective evaluation of instructional programs.Author and organize training systems procedural manuals and supporting documentation for training programs and systems in accordance with ISO and TS-16949 requirements.
  • Develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works.Develop trainer development programs and coach others involved in training efforts.
  • Develop and monitor spending against HR Departmental budget
  • Maintain training records and documentation

With Economy still slumping the company decided to reduce it's workforce.  I was kept to backfill a position of need.  I was now named Team Facilitator over 2nd and 3rd shifts Production Control/Shipping and Receiving.  My duties included....

  • Responsibilities include overseeing development and performance of 15 associates and improvement of production and quality performance.

  • Ensure all safety rules are followed and compliant with all TS-16949 and ISO-14001 requirements.
