An alumnus of Loyola University Chicago, Joseph Metallo majored in Information Systems Management and International Studies. During his studies, Joseph Metallo attended two foreign education programs. He participated in the International Studies program at Loyola’s Rome campus, The John Felice Rome Center, and took Spanish language and culture courses at Universidad de La Rioja in Logroño, Spain. After completing his undergraduate education, Joseph Metallo pursued a Master’s of Criminal Justice at Boston University. Continuing his learning overseas, Joseph Metallo later enrolled in the Università degli Studi della Calabria (now the Università della Calabria), where he studied international business in 2007. From 2000 to 2007, Joseph Metallo worked in Chicago as a Special Agent on a multijurisdictional enforcement team that completed investigative work for several agencies. Serving the Illinois State Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Joseph Metallo also participated in the war on drugs as Intelligence Coordinator for multiple narcotics bureaus. Trilingual in English, Spanish, and Italian, Joseph Metallo assisted the Major Crimes Task Force with investigation and translation. Following an occupational injury, Joseph Metallo left law enforcement in 2007 and accepted dual positions as Director of Operations for Epoch Insights and Facilitator for Boston University’s Criminal Justice program. A skilled leader and strategist, Joseph Metallo directed Epoch Insights’ intelligence efforts and trained project managers. Early in 2010, Joseph Metallo accepted a position as Managing Director of the newly formed European operation of Proactive WorldWide. Responsible for managing all aspects of business intelligence, Joseph Metallo fuels the company’s growth in new European markets.
