Serving in a dual capacity as an administrator and teacher, is instrumental to my continued development both inside and outside of the classroom.  While I am able to see various aspects of an ever evolving classroom, I serve in a capacity which allows me to implement innovative ideas and techniques to serve students and families.  Furthermore, during my time as an academic/test coordinator, I had an opportunity to gain much insight into student achievement while working closely with other stakeholders. My experience from working with seasoned, dedicated professionals in education over the past sixteen years continues to ultimately be quite beneficial as I work to assist students as they overcome challenges and strive to reach their full potential.

Academic/Test Coordinator

Duties of the Campus Academic Coordinator Include the Following:

  • Use data to profile students and distribute the information to teachers and administrators for instruction
  • Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring Saturday school, after-school and in-school tutoring, TAKS camps, and extended instructional activities
  • Coordinate with technology specialist on all instructional programs, initiatives, and school-wide data driven research programs
  • Provide support to associate principal (dean of instruction) with all instructional programs, initiatives, and departmental meetings (PLCs)
  • Create, plan, and schedule activities for professional development with administrators and monitor implementation
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the School Improvement Plan
