I am currently teaching as a full-time temporary professor in the Communication Department at Slippery Rock University, where I teach web design, digital media and social media courses. I am also pursuing an Ed.D. in Instructional Technology and Leadership at Duquesne University. I have also worked as a freelance illustrator and multimedia designer, and some of my past clients include Orion International and the National Press Foundation. One of the highlights of my design career was when I got to design the multimedia presentation for the 2006 National Geographic Online's "Excellence in Online Journalism Award" shown at the National Press Foundation gala in Washington, D.C. Another highlight of my career was when I was a panelist for the Roundtable on Internet Legal Issues, at the Eastern Communication Association Convention in Philadelphia, PA. Since graduating from Syracuse University, I have had the opportunity to work at the university as an adjunct professor and experience starting up/running a graphic and Web design business. Both of these experiences has been very valuable in making me the person I am today. Through this experience, I have built a strong interest in studying graphic design, social networking on the Web, and the use of Web 2.0 technologies in education.
