  Hired to transform a startup into the high tech sector's leading management association firm. Instrumental in shaping the company culture, I directed HR, administration and facilities. Supervised all hiring, training, performance and evaluation metrics. Managed IT network and desktop support, and later helped create the IT Department.

  Responsible for all HR and operations infrastructures for five subsidiaries. Directed numerous facility acquisitions, transformations and operations.

SignArt, Inc.

  Recruited to staff more than 60 employees for the startup of a large manufacturer of electric signs. Managed all administrative functions and training of new managers. Created HR policies, procedures, compensation and benefits. Full operational management of vendor negotiations and purchasing. Achieved full production status within 30 days of building acquisition and exceeded first quarter production forecast by 25%.

General Manager

McCracken

  Executive management of sales and operations of warehousing and transportation division. Revenues were falling and profits were negligible when hired. Implemented cost controls, renegotiated vendor agreements, redesigned fleet maintenance schedule. Renegotiated unprofitable accounts and aggressively collected receivables. After first year, profits reached double the industry average.

  Developed marketing plan which led to further penetration and diverse segmentation. Secured public and private contract bids. Sales revenues increased significantly for the next seven years while sustaining high margins. Managed OSHA, DOT, EPA other regulatory compliance.

Training

  As a business manager as well as an HR professional, I have implemented a variety of training and career development programs. I have extensive experience in all phases of training, including needs assessment, creating institutional infrastructure, curriculum design, classroom management and third-party sourcing.

Human Resource Management

  My management experience and expertise led to specialization in the field of human resources for the past decade. I earned a PHR certificate from the Society of Human Resource Management. I have built workforces from the ground up with new ventures as well as transformed the workforce of a dying division that required rescue.

Project management

  As a business professional, I have managed a variety of projects. For example, after negotiating the purchase of a $4M office building, For remodeling, I obtained estimates from professional contractors ranging from $750k-$1M and nine months to one year for the work. I took on the general contracting duties myself and completed the project in four months for $400k.   I have undertaken many other projects - from creating HR departments, developing and executing marketing plans, to enacting complex regulatory compliance programs. I am an excellent communicator, well-organized and work efficiently to regularly meet tight deadline and budget constraints.

  At PCC, I earned an accounting certification with coursework and experience using QuickBooks.

MS Office

  Since its initial release in 1992, I have used MS Office as my primary administrative tool. I have won awards for PowerPoint presentations and developed sophisticated Excel models.
