I rethink, retweet and rebrand. I've done it before, for small businesses and multi-million dollar organizations, and I'd like to do it for you.

I'm a jack of all trades and a master of one. I am an experienced social media strategist, community manager and content creator. I also have a background in videography, photography and website design and my social media work always syncs meaningfully with my client's overall digital marketing strategy.

I can write, shoot and edit. My tweets don't sound like 140 character press releases, my Facebook posts actually get seen and my SEO doesn't sound like ESL.

Everything I do is based on hard analytics and is measurable, meaningful and repeatable. I use tools such as Lithium, Radian6 and Google Analytics to help my clients carve out their online niche.

Revolution Strategy

I worked as Social Media Community Manager for New Brunswick Tourism through Revolution Strategy. I help to monitor, organize and train our two mobile journalists and I manage our online community, constantly expanding it through outreach on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Youtube, blogs and SEO techniques. I used Radian6 to find fresh user-generated content. I produced regular detailed progress reports and target key influencers by analyzing raw server stats, Radian6 and Google Analytics and Facebook and YouTube Insights. I developed a number of strategies to encourage people to post their own content to our Facebook and Twitter feeds, which proved to be very successful. I helped increase the number of Facebook followers from approx. 11500 to over 15000 and climbing.I periodically filled a variety of other rolls at Revolution, including shooting and editing photography and video, writing PR copy and consulting on social media strategy for a variety of projects. Summer 2011 I spearheaded a substantial social media tourism campaign around the U2 Concert in Moncton. Social media allows me to use all the skills I have developed, including creative writing, video, photography and is generally an amazing creative outlet.

I developed a social media strategy for Brian White's campaigns for the Municipal, Federal and Provincial NDPin Sarnia-Lambton, Ontario. We worked hard to energize the largely disaffected youth vote in this district, using social media in conjunction with traditional electoral marketing strategies. As a first-time candidate, name recognition was a clear challenge, but we concentrated on Brian's youth and idealism, using social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to connect with the community. Although we hoped to win, we considered earning 25% of the vote in a traditionally conservative riding to be a success for a first-time candidate running on the issues.

I wrote a humour column for several years for diyplanner.com, a very popular website at the time, focusing on paper-based planning and the Do-It-Yourself Planner, with a weekly readership of between 50,000 and 250,000 and which I am proud to say has just reached 100 million unique visitors. I gained experience with creative and SEO writing and developed a sizable and passionate following and my work was featured on www.lifehacker.com, as well as a variety of other blogs and websites.

I am experienced with different types of lenses, strobe and hot lighting and working with my different kinds of subjects.
