  • The AAF mission is to strengthen African American employees at GE through professional development, career management, and mentoring that will enable retention and growth. The forum also works to strengthen the bonds between GE and its local African American communities.

    • Provided leadership and project management around specific programs created to meet the needs of African American employees in areas such as professional development, networking, and community engagement
    • Collaborated with AAF leadership to hold small round tables which provided employees access to experienced professionals and boosted recruitment and retention efforts by 25%
    • Managed internal and external communications and social media as well as executive report outs
    • Created local and national Black History Month programming in which over 200 AAF members and company employees participated
    • Served as the liaison connecting African American employees to over 15 volunteer and community service opportunities in the Greater Milwaukee Area

    • Led team of 5 recruiters in finding, recruiting, hiring, and developing diverse talent

Co-founder-Content Developer - Ladies with a Purpose

Ladies with a Purpose is a program geared towards building confidence, team cohesiveness, and positive leadership characteristics in young minority women at Roosevelt Middle School of the Arts. I led lectures, group activities, service programs, projects, and small group mentoring sessions with other GEHC volunteers and Roosevelt staff members transforming young girls into courageous young women.

Co-founder Program Lead-TryItGirl

TryItGirl is a mentorship program aimed at increasing high school girls' awareness of technology capabilities and knowledge of technology related career options while eliminating the apprehension associated with technology careers through hands on exposure and interaction with local female technology leaders. I developed content for bi weekly sessions facilitated by various female IT leaders.

Volunteer - Morse Marshall Junior High School for the Gifted & Talented Tech Lab 

Solicited corporate sponsorship to purchase and install new computers, software, and high quality production materials for Image Technology students.
