My name is Ly My Linh and I’m extremely interested in gaining experience in the field of Hospitality Management that's why I’m applying for a position in the Front Office Department. I strongly believe Front Office is a right decision comparing to other departments because I enjoy meeting new people, working in a team, and I am beguiled by the hospitality industry. Currently, I’ve no working experience because I’ve been studying full time but I’ve worked in a restaurant as a summer job in Vietnam for 3 months before coming to Singapore. Singapore has been attracting a lot of foreign visitors lately and I think that my English skills will help me a lot in the hospitality business because I can speak fluently. I’m friendly, outgoing and I enjoy watching the customers’ faces light up when they are satisfied with the service.

I chose Singapore as my study destination because Singapore is one of the most developed countries in Asia and it is known as a multi-cultural country which will help me to learn more about different cultures and other people, even though it is a small country. Furthermore, there are many investors in different countries and tourists interested in knowing more about this small and safe country, which makes tourism a growing business. This is a good place for me because I can learn and experience the various cultures, enjoy interacting with people from different nationalities.

My goals and objectives are to be accepted to work in Singapore after I graduate. I want to work my way to the top and to expand this industry in Vietnam. Vietnam is also a growing country with lots of destinations that can surely attract visitors from other countries. But some of the destinations in Vietnam are not well developed comparing to the other countries. Hospitality and tourism are rapidly growing in Vietnam and I want to push it further than where it stands right now.

This internship will provide me an opportunity to develop and apply the knowledge and skills that I have learned in school and training classes.
