My husband and I own a design house specializing in original clothing, costumes, homewares and fine art inspired by nature and the fairy realm. We design and create all of our goods,  primarily selling them at Renaissance Faires and on the web at We also do custom work and design for regional theater companies. We have worked for many national and international television and film projects, designing and creating prop elements and costumes.

Opened 100+ locations, maintaining sales of 3 times the industry growth rate in a geographically challenging region.

Effectively supported the retail sales in 122 stores with a total of 133 locations (over 120 million sales volume) in the Southeastern region consisting ofAL, MS, TN, NC, SC, GA, FL, North VA, Puerto Rico and Bermudadriving outstanding performance in same store growth and new store development.

Directed all aspects of field Artist Training and Development (retail employee and manager training), event participation, media and brand awareness. MAC offers more extensive, ongoing training than any other cosmetic brand.

Developed targeted training programs, retail and branding events for MAC freestanding stores and partnered retailers including Sak’s Fifth Avenue, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Belk’s, Dillard’s and Nordstrom’s. Through my team designated appropriate support in all aspects of brand representation: media awareness, store customer service, employee image, in-store training tools, and training curriculums for new and over 950 existing employees, strategize new products and evaluated current selection.

Since 1998 participated as a contributing member of the MAC Color/Product Evaluation team which works withthe product development and marketing departmentsto suggest new color and product ideas that are required for trend, to meet the needs of the professional/retail customer or to fill line gaps. We also evaluated new products and product formulations for potential launch.

Planned and managed a 1 million dollar t and e budget and traveled a minimum of 50% of the time.

Investigated and negotiated opportunities for growth including the development of new training methods, new product selection and long-term training modules.

Opened, managed and directed all operations in 4 regional training facilities in Atlanta, Orlando and Miami.

Managed and developed a team of 22 training staff across the Southeast who trained and supported all company initiatives, provided on goingtraining in makeup artistry skills, artists color theory, skin science, internal and external customer service, style stepping and management training.

Increased market share of the brand in the SE by supporting growth through trainings, special event execution, in store support and media presentations. New stores consistently over achieved sales plans by double digit percentages.

Worked with the travel retail division to train employees for locations in the Caribbean and to develop trainers to support those locations.

Instructed new and existing MAC trainers from around the world each year at MAC Trainer Academy and Train the Trainer.

Worked as a makeup artist for company promotional launch videos.

Media spokesperson and community liaison for TV, Print, Charity Events and Fashion Weeks.

Makeup Artistry for Celebrities and other influential individuals in fashion and media. Including Kimora Lee Simmons, Rachel Hunter, Amy Grant, Christina Applegate, Jeff Foxworthy, Dave Navarro and others.

Worked as an artist for Latin American Fashion Week, NY Fashion Week, Miami Swim, Ford's Supermodel of the World Competition, Latin American Grammy Awards, Country Music Video Awards, Broadway Bares New York, Headdress Ball Orlando, Fashion Cares Toronto, The Orlando Magic Dancers, The Miami Heat Dancers and many other fashion shows, theatrical productions, events and concert tours.

Provided training and trend classes for Universal Studios, FL, The Walt Disney World Cosmetology Department, CNN, Cosmetology and Esthetic Schools.

Participated as an artist in NY Fashion Week and as a Key Artist for Fashion Week of the Americas, Miami Swim and other regional fashion shows.

Managed the operations including ordering and inventory for one of only 3 locations in the SE.  Directed successful in-store event programs; supervised two Assistant Managers and a total of 8 staff, employee recruitment, customer service and artistic development and management.Collaborated with co-managers and subordinates; provided ongoing support and assistance while maintaining respective work schedules and deadlines.Managed by a remote Manager of Retail Operations who was rarely at our location, often having to manage all aspects of the business without direction for months at a time.Introduced as yet unknown and controversial brand to a new and remote Southern market.

Effectively managed and directed through trainings all employee performance whether through make-up skills or customer service, implemented and supported marketing programs; developing and motivating sales teams; developed expert and consistent service and artist training programs. Led the training group in facilitating promotional events, client group presentations, and creation of live events in major doors to launch new products.Recognized by my peers and employees as an outstanding and highly motivational trainer and presenter.Acknowledged by the senior management for exceptional leadership of training staff and retail management. About Me

I have had a very diverse education and career. I began working as an actress at the age of 8 and have experience in stage, video and film. I attended the AL School of Fine Arts, one of the first public highschools for the performing arts in the United States, from the age of 12 to 18. I lived in a dorm away from home and attended class from 8 AM to 5 PM and then rehearsed performances from 6 PM to 10 PM on weeknights and from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturdays.That taught me very early in life that hard work was required to achieve success. In highschool I began working in retail at the age of 15 and continued working for various retail clothing companies until I was 20. I moved to LA, CA by myself at 18 to attend a Theatre conservatory program and I have worked a minimum of one full time job ever since. While in Los Angeles I worked as a makeup artist and photographic stylist to supplement my income. I then moved back to Alabama in 1990 to take advantage of a full deans scholarship in acting and officially completed my degree in August of 1994. During and after college I worked for Glamour Shots Photography in AL as a trainer and manager and waited tables to supplement my acting income. I have performed in every type of regional theatre including, Children's Theatre,  Shakespeare and musicals. I have also taught children's acting, costume history and art history for various summer programs. This varied young life allowed me to gain experience with people from every walk of life and many different cultures which has been invaluable to me in my career. My creative education also allows me to think outside the box and gives me a wide range of knowledge that can be utilized in many different ways in the corporate world. In 1995 I joined the staff of a privately owned, 10 year old cosmetic company out of Toronto, Canada. I quickly moved up the ranks from Retail Manager to the SE Regional Director of Training and Development. During the 13 years I was with MAC the company grew from North American sales of $32 million to global sales in excess of a billion dollars. I have worn many hats under one title for the last 10 years and there is little in the areas of sales, managment, human resources, and customer service that I don't have experience in. I bring with me a very unique skills set to any job allowing me to take on many duties in this challenging economic time.

I am happily married and have a lovely daughter of 3. I enjoy travel and meeting new people in my work but in my personal time I like to entertain, cook, garden, read and do yoga.

I have extensive expertise in developing a brand through the creation and implementation of specialized trainings to improve customer service and sales. I also have tried experience in market development through the creation and execution of special events to improve brand awareness and loyalty. I am a strong manager with the ability to assess my team’s strengths and weaknesses and provide the training required to take them to their full potential. My creative background combined with my extensive sales, management and operations experience make me an ideal candidate for a job that requires a balance of art and commerce.
