Seeking remote administrative/consulting  position offering collaborative opportunities with colleagues to influence instructional designs for adult learners from an empathic viewpoint.

Having completed my dissertation on the topic of empathy for adult learners, it is now time to use that knowledge to facilitate online learning for adults who may struggle with

  • instructional content,
  • instructions for assignment completion, and
  • technology

The needs of adult learners can be anticipated and addressed through designs that transcend andragogical tenets, to reflect emphatic advocacy for adult online learners.

My doctoral research indicated that

  • empathy is critical in instructional design,
  • instructional strategies should reflect empathy,
  • the audience for the instructional design should be known,
  • hindrances to demonstrations of empathy for adult learners
    exist and vary, 
  • online learning requires different instructional strategy
    considerations, and
  • adult learners need relevant, meaningful instruction.

While this resume does not present extensive years of experience in my relatively new career choice, what I present is

  • a desire to advocate for adult learners in the most beneficial and emphatic way possible in the instructional design process,
  • a determination to continuously update skills and knowledge, and
  • a strong work ethic and worldview that highly regards lifelong learning.
