About Luke Forshaw

Appointed as principal in 2012, Dr. Luke Forshaw oversees all operations at the Ox Ridge Elementary School in the Darien Public Schools District in Connecticut. He aims to leverage new technological advances and computer programming curriculum to enhance the learning experience of his students. In addition, Dr. Luke Forshaw serves as the board vice president of REACH Newtown, where he directs impact measurement for the nonprofit organization. He holds responsibility for program development, as well, and helps design afterschool and home activities to help children better connect with their families.

Away from his professional endeavors, Dr. Luke Forshaw enjoys watching New York Knicks games, playing video games, and listening to Radiohead. He also likes to study cognitive science, and a few of his favorite authors include Steven Pinker, Daniel Dennett, and Douglas Hofstadter. An avid runner, he has competed in Ragnar Relay and Tough Mudder races. He also has traveled throughout Japan, Norway, and Germany.
