I have years of experience composing and improving résumés, coaching job seekers, and providing job search strategies. With my marketing and journalism background, I know how to take a common résumé and turn it into an exceptional, personalized marketing tool.
I love teaching candidates how to market themselves before, during, and after the interview. I have been on both sides of the interview table many times. I actually enjoy it and can help others find success in it, too. It all starts with a well-written résumé and personal marketing plan.
Before dedicating my career to résumé writing and career coaching, I provided résumé and career services on the side while I worked in a vast array of careers.
My first job out of college solidified my writing skills working as a reporter for a small newspaper, until I moved on to a 10-year career at a Fortune 500 company. The corporate world provided me with invaluable skills in marketing, communications, and project management. I left after ten years to follow my heart to teach. I went back to school for a Masters in Teaching. I taught a great group of middle school students English, science, and technology. After teaching, I chose to stay home with my two children and began managing school finance campaigns in Washington State.
When we moved back to Arizona in 2010, I landed a great part-time gig teaching magazine and yearbook courses to my favorite age group--middle school. I then went on to become a development director at a local private high school.
Realizing how much I enjoy helping people with their quest to find a good job, I decided to dedicate my career to full-time résumé writer, job search strategist, and career and interview coach.
