Design team member at Building Information Modeling (B.I.M.) studio during Spring 2010. B.IM studio involves design of an institutional project through the collaboration of Architects, Architectural Engineers, Landscape Architects and Construction Management Professionals to design an energy efficient building, which can be cost effective and within the given time constraints. This project involved substantial use of Revit, Navisworks, Ecotect, and other energy modeling software programs.
Participated in CAUSE from Spring 2009- Spring 2010 - Living in a sustainable global society, traveled to Germany and France to learn the sustainable building technologies adopted in the leading energy efficient countries. Thesis:
"Urban renewal and preservation of architectural monuments for a historic site, in Varanasi India."
Activities and Societies:
Teaching Assistant for architectural design studio focusing on design-build project and cradle-to-cradle design, by reusing materials abandoned in Tyrone.
Research Assistant for Prof. Madhuri Desai in Art History Department for measure drawing ancient temples and monuments in Varanasi, India.
Publicity Chair of "Indian Graduate Students Association' (IGSA) - a global group representative of all Indian Graduate and Post Doctoral Fellows in The Pennsylvania State University.
Event Organizer in 'Two Cents of Hope' - a social service organization in the Pennsylvania State University, which focuses on spreading education for under-privileged children and youth in India.
