With extensive experience in media, I have accumulated a variety of skills which allow me to create, manage and produce material in both English and Arabic. In my research and communications throughout the years, I have reached out to Arab political and social leaders, as well as to the people of the region, in order to analyse and develop issues of freedom, democracy, equality, justice and peace. Through my journalism, I have been able to communicate the differences and similarities between East and West. I established my name as a journalist whose stories affected peoples’ personal lives from helping young women return to college in Morocco, to supporting the chances of the handicapped in receiving equal employment opportunities in the Lebanon. I am familiar with the different cultures and media including that of the UK and the USA, as well as those of the Middle East. I have lived and worked in the UAE, Lebanon, Egypt, Kuwait, the UK and the USA. I am currently working as Senior Producer in Qatar. As for my work in the media, I consider my television programs a valid record of producing, writing and presenting balanced and impartial content while adhering to high production standards. I am experienced at all levels of production and can take a concept through the stages from original idea to finished project in an organised and professional manner. Live work has varied from nightly news coverage for CNBC Arabiya to telethons, weekly programs and special events for MBC (Middle East Broadcasting Centre) plus full live coverage of the Dubai International Film Festival for Showtime. I am also experienced at managing live shows in gallery and directing on-location shoots. I am fortunate to have collaborated with and managed international teams. I am able to apply my knowledge and experience to presenting ideas and communicating plans to all levels of professionals in two languages.
A team leader who is as passionate about the quality of the productions she is involved in as she is about creating a healthy creative environment for all.
