Directed and supervised the tasks of five staff members and respectively performed career development planning and yearly assessment reviews.  Actively involved in recruiting initiatives, career fair outreaches and new candidate hiring.  Engaged as a formal mentor for the MentorNet program and IT Carlos Rosario International Career Center.  Participated as an advisory board member to the University of Maryland’s Computer Science, Engineering and Math Scholars Program and as an advisor to the Student Community for Outreach Retention and Excellence Executive Board.  Recipient of the 2007 National Women of Color in Technology award for community service.

Business Development

Worked as a core team member on seven major proposal efforts, authoring sections of the management, technical and past performance volumes.  Selected as a co-lead for the business development team responsible for creating client marketing briefs, documenting industry specific qualifications and managing IT initiatives to automate and streamline the opportunity identification and proposal development process.  Fostered client relationships on both the Business Transformation Agency and National Science Foundation projects, which resulted in follow-on work and the addition of full time employees to the contracts.

Project Communications

Developed Booz Allen’s “Growth, Awareness, Individual Achievement, Teamwork and Support” program across a 100 person team.  Oversaw the publication of a monthly e-newsletter and led various workshops, technology exchange forums and brown bag sessions aimed at fostering professional growth and creating diverse feedback channels for team communication.  The program was applauded for its success in improving team morale and facilitating information sharing of senior management initiatives, client projects, team activities, and business and marketing opportunities. 

International Development

Assisted the local mayor of a 20,000 member district in Peru with project requirements and design considerations for implementing the community’s first municipal website, which complied with government regulations for transparency and improved the overall management, communication and visibility of local projects.  Provided in-country advising to a total of six counterpart organizations, including support for the start-up of a rural tourism business. Worked in conjunction with tourism business stakeholders to develop the company’s first annual business plan, identify emerging markets, create promotional materials, and conduct 25 tours geared towards national and international tourists.

Project Management

Certified PMI Project Management Professional.  Managed a subcontract for a $95M Business Transformation Agency project to provide engineering support, applications migration, systems development and end user training for over 1000 users.  Acted as the primary client liaison for the collaboration team, managing on-site and off-site staff, setting project priorities, creating timelines and tracking budget versus actuals. Authored several deliverables in support of the end-to-end systems development lifecycle, including project business case, requirements, design documents, implementation and testing plans and training curriculums. 

Technology Implementation and Training

Designed and implemented over 200 solutions-oriented SharePoint sites and architected seven corporate and organizational intranet environments on medium and large server farms, using Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and 2003 technologies. Provided subject matter expertise in server architecture design, topology planning, continuity of operations and disaster recovery support, .NET and web part capability development, master page and site template design, business process automation using workflow tools, and third party application integration.  Coordinated with help desk leads to provide hands-on training courses for end users and administrators and tier III support according to ITIL standards. Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) since 2006.

Advised and worked with NGOs, local schools, governments, youth groups and business associations on multiple community projects to advance social, economic and cultural development.Led workshops centered on organizational management, team building, business plan development, project planning and assessment, accounting, marketing and quality control.Helped organize career fairs, leadership camps, health campaigns, and computer and web training classes in rural towns.
