Department Manager- Food & Grocery
§Leading Food & Grocery as a Department manager and responsible for smooth running of departments which includes FMCG- Food, FMCG- Non Food, Staples, F&V, Bakery, Dairy, Non veg, Deli & Cheese; reporting to Store Manager.
§Looking after merchandising, analyzing daily sales report department wise; ensuring proper indenting, man management and inventory management.
§Managing availability of appropriate infrastructure and system implementation for improving customer satisfaction.
§Responsible for keeping a record on fast moving and non fast moving items.
§Ensuring compliance to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) of the department and looking after wastage & shrinkage management.
§Accountable for controlling operating expenses and implementation of information technology in data management & many other operational activities.
§Handling Customers, their requests, complaints and Queries.Capturing customer requests and complaints in the system and ensuring quality closure of the same.
§Analyzing marketing trends and tracking competitors’ activities and providing valuable inputs for product enhancement and fine tuning sales & marketing strategies.
§Maintaining proper roasters which include shelf cleaning roasters, FIFO.
§Co- ordination with the receiving team and warehouse team for NRGP, TO & TI.
§Coordinating with the respective department ADM’S for indenting, previous sales, MTD & target sales.
§Performing Sync with the buying team for weekend offers, monthly promo’s EDLP, liquidation promo’s, any offer discrepancies.
§Maintaining the floor as per the layouts and keeping a special watch on the end caps, Bay bifurcation, and Isle Bifurcation and Gondola layouts.
§Looking forward for institutional Sales to boost up the sales and corporate connections.
§Controlling the attrition rate with the help of training schedules for the employees, motivating them up with the help of briefing & solving any professional issues which are hampering their efficiency.
§Coordinating with VM & store management for BTL’s.
§Coordinating with the warehouse team for BOH management.
§Coordinating with the floor sales team for knocking and interaction with the customers in order to increase the ABV.
