Mr Pretorius successfully manages Carnival Funfairs, taking it from a small Mobile Carnival company in 1997 that only operated in one province to currently being the leading Mobile Carnival company in South Africa that dominates and operates in all provinces of South Africa.
He planned and managed significant refurbishing projects on the fun fair rides to enhance the ambiance of the carnival. Maintained expenses below budget through accurate planning, waste reduction, purchasing and cost effective operating procedures.
Currently his duties are:
Management / Administration:
*Creates new business through community involvement and active public relations programs.
*Investigates and resolves service quality and service complaints, ensuring customer satifsaction and repeat business.
*Develop marketing campaigns to increase visibility of the carnival, analyze market demographics, definethe target market and determined advertising placement.
*Accountable for budgeting, cost control and general accounting.
*Oversee the implementation and maintenance of new and existing safety rules and regulations.
Supervision / Training
*Recruits, hires and supervices, schedules and motivates a staff of up to 45 employees.
*Trains carnival staff to enhance customer services and to instill all safety rules and regulations of each fun fair ride.
*Liaison with all relevant inspectors i.e. engineering, electrical and mechanical.
*Manage and control the following key personnel:
