A dedicated advocate of Black Bear Academy and Children International, as well as a charitable supporter of St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church and the AVON Walk for Breast Cancer, Chicago resident Louis Javell strives to enhance several aspects of his local community. Louis Javell’s passion for helping others can be traced back to his academic career with Michigan’s Wayne State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1995. While enrolled at the research institution, Louis Javell helped raise funds for children at St. John’s Hospital, one of eight hospitals in the St. John Providence Health System.Today, Louis Javell assists several youth organizations in an attempt to improve education opportunities while providing support to those in need. Louis Javell also donates to Chicago’s religious community and remains a devoted supporter of breast cancer awareness, education, treatment, and research.Louis Javell’s efforts to help others extend beyond social involvement. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and member of AICPA, IICRC, and FINRA, Lou Javell also contributes the aesthetic improvement of his city through Blackstone Restoration Group, Inc. Lou Javell’s company helps property owners and insurance providers take the necessary steps toward repairing and renovating homes or businesses damaged by water or fire. Since 2009, Lou Javell has successfully managed the company’s logistical restoration procedures, served as Project Coordinator, and maintained oversight of the company’s financial transactions. Apart from his charitable and professional work, Lou Javell remains an avid scuba diver and a member of the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, a training organization with courses ranging from decompression diving to trimix diving and gas blending. In his spare time, Lou Javell also enjoys reading.
