I normally don't have too many unusual days except when I do something out of the ordinary... like travel. One unusual day was when I took a trip to Manila. The plane landed in Tokyo where we had a little bit of a layover. I stopped at a kiosk and had coffee and then headed to the gate where my connecting flight was leaving. At the gate the Delta airline rep came on the PA system and announced that they had overbooked the plane. They asked if anyone wanted to volunteer to stay behind and catch the next flight the following day. Well, I decided to volunteer. The airline was nice enough to give me not only a $400 voucher but foot the bill for a hotel in Tokyo for an overnight stay. I took my vouchers and headed to the nearest arrival terminal to catch a taxi. I headed to the Raddison hotel in Tokyo and had a grand time in the pool and cafe.
