Summary

I have over nine years budgeting experience with the City of Morgan Hill. As a member of California Society of Municipal Financial Officers, I have been an evaluator of other government agency’s budgets. While employed in Fresno I wrote budget and personnel justifications for the Wastewater Management Division. I coordinated the compilation of the budget into a document for presentation.

I have been an office manager supervising clerical, accounting and information technology staff. Several of my subordinates have gone on to earn degrees and promoted to higher positions. They have often thanked me for being an inspiration and professional role model.

I was involved in the recruitment process with the City of Fresno’s Wastewater Management Division. I was the division’s liaison with Human Resources. Fresno has several unions and I was the Division’s expert on understanding all Memorandums of Understanding, the Administrative Manual, the Municipal Code and Departmental policies. Other responsibilities included were writing and processing disciplinary actions. I have reviewed, interpreted, and compiled information making recommendations for corrective actions. I have always been praised for my confidentiality. I have had success in resolving conflicts with staff and assisting in facilitating win-win situations.

I pride myself on developing and maintaining good working relationships. I enjoy researching and analyzing data as much as I like interacting with people. As I stay focused on details I am able to convey to others what is expected as the end result, or rather, what the “big picture” is.

My personal attributes include being diplomatic, tactful, flexible, focused yet easy going and having a sense of humor. I believe people should be held accountable and take responsibility for their actions. I look at all possibilities for solutions to problems so that informed decisions are made.
