An alumnus of Georgetown University and New York University Law School, Louis Ceruzzi launched his real estate development career in 1988 with the establishment of Ceruzzi Properties LLC. Focused on hotel and retail holdings, his firm developed nearly 4 million square feet of property while enjoying excellent relationships with Target, The Home Depot, Stop & Shop, and other top retailers. In the mid-1990s, Louis Ceruzzi joined forces with Starwood Capital Group to establish Starwood Ceruzzi LLC, which quickly became one of the leading privately owned real estate firms in the New York metropolitan area as it developed properties throughout the Northeast. The merged firm focused on reconfiguring underutilized shopping centers to reposition them as major shopping destinations.
In 1997, Louis Ceruzzi founded Ceruzzi Holdings LLC, a full-service real estate company that has worked closely with several major organizations to develop retail and residential high-rise buildings in Greater New York. Additionally, the firm has developed and managed commercial spaces for Wal-Mart, The Gap/Old Navy, JPMorgan Chase, Costco, and Target, among other leading brands. Mr. Ceruzzi’s firm continues to develop luxury living spaces in Manhattan along Lexington Avenue.
Passionate about fine wine and Italian cuisine, Mr. Ceruzzi has evolved into an accomplished restaurateur as well. He is the owner of several New York establishments, including Bar Roma, Bottega del Vino, Sfoglia, and Via Quadronno. On Nantucket, he owns Lola 41, which features an extensive sushi menu, and Lola Burger, which offers a selection of more than 25 craft beers with its classic and specialty burgers.
