Since 2007, Lori Sweere has been serving in the position of Executive Vice President for Human Capital at UnitedHealth Group. JetBlue, IBM, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and Deloitte are among Bersin’s notable clients to win awards. Under Lori Sweere’s direction, UnitedHealth was recognized for effective implementation of Bersin’s models for High Impact Leadership Development and was benchmarked as a High Impact HR Organization. Although Lori Sweere’s efforts have been instrumental in winning several HR awards for UnitedHealth, she is quick to acknowledge the role that the entire HR team at the company has played in garnering the awards. In 2011, UnitedHealth won a Patriot Award from the Connecticut Department of Labor in recognition for its support of the National Guard and Reserve and the company was also an honoree for a Webby Award. In addition, the National Business Group on Health recognized UnitedHealth with a Platinum Award for being one of the best employers to promote healthy lifestyles and workplaces. UnitedHealth Group has also been recognized on Forbes magazine’s list of top companies since Lori Sweere joined the leadership team. A graduate of Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota, with a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Behavior and Communications, Lori Sweere has contributed her services to USO, Inc. in Chicago, as well as to the Corporate Leadership Council in Washington, D.C.
