Summary

Loretta Itri is a well-established executive in the pharmaceutical sector who has led global sales and development of diverse oncology products. Having completed fellowship work at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, she initially held positions with Hoffman La Roche, Inc., including as assistant vice president. In this capacity, she guided clinical programs spanning oncology, virology, immunology, and hematology. Next joining Johnson & Johnson, Loretta Itri led clinical endeavors at the R. W. Johnson Pharmaceutical Research Institute. She ultimately achieved the role of senior vice president of medical and regulatory affairs, and helped achieve regulatory approval of a number of therapeutic products.

Dr. Itri’s past experience includes positions as chief medical officer and president of pharmaceutical development with Genta, Inc. In this position, she oversaw the global development of a diversity of therapeutic compounds. In her current executive role with a New Jersey pharmaceutical firm, Dr. Itri manages clinical and regulatory affairs, as well as life-cycle and post-marketing research activities. A respected researcher, she has authored numerous book chapters and articles related to clinical drug development. Loretta Itri serves on the board of the American-Italian Cancer Foundation.
