Veteran litigator Lloyd Schwed co-founded Schwed McGinley & Kahle, LLC, in 2006. He had more than two decades of experience representing clients in the Florida business and construction industries before that time. Today, the firm operates offices in Miami, Palm Beach, Orlando, and Tampa, and its staff of 11 attorneys serves clients across the state. Managing Partner Lloyd Schwed specializes in contracts and non-compete litigation, securities litigation and arbitration, construction litigation, accountant and attorney malpractice defense, product liability, real estate-related litigation, life insurance and disability insurance claims defense, and insurance agent defense. Other lawyers at the firm address such areas of expertise as intellectual property; auto liability defense; and libel, slander, and defamation claims. Lloyd Schwed earned his Bachelor’s degree in History and Journalism at Loyola University and his law degree at Washington University in St. Louis. Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1985, he has also secured admission to litigate cases before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Prior to establishing his own firm, Lloyd Schwed practiced commercial and business litigation at the Florida law firms of Kubicki Draper, P.A., and Fowler White.
