Directed the operations, pre-construction and construction of over 55 properties in the West and Mountain Regions for General Growth Properties, Inc. (GGP), consisting of over 40 million SF. of retail, commercial, residential, and mixed-use communities; incorporating Lean Construction
Directed facilities, management activities and operations on capital improvement projects. Responsible for construction packages, meetings, cost analyses, value engineering, risk mitigation, obtaining public approvals, managing construction budgets, project schedules, procurement, field observation, review of submittals and implementing sustainable goals.
·Tropicana Entertainment Center, a $1Billion development on a 200+-acre undeveloped land. Responsible for construction and operations. Implemented BMS and sustainability to reduce operations cost by 20% annually.
·Fashion Place $150M redevelopment with the renovation of all interior common area and the food court of 900,000+SF property with a new Nordstrom and Dillards, new parking deck, and redesign of site, landscaping, environmental graphics, and addition of over 200,000SF of new lifestyle uses. Project was Value-Engineered to bring project in 15% under budget.
·Montclair Plaza $50M capital improvement of a 1.3M+SF asset. The areas included the interior common area, the food court, landscaping, environmental graphics, entrances, lighting, upscale tenants, renovation of Nordstrom, and upgrade of site accessibility to meet ADA requirements. Implemented sustainable goals led to a 20% reduction in energy consumption.
·Cottonwood Mixed-Use Community, a $550M de-mall of the existing 57 acre site, into a planned urban mixed-use community, the adjacent creek was rerouted and enhanced. The project targeted LEED ND Gold certification.
·Proj. Mgr. for $25M EPA cleanup of contaminated site in downtown Baltimore for a community development Utilized USACE QCS (Quality Control System and RMS (Resident Mgmt. System)
