·Worked with Coastal Living Magazine to help ensure continued sponsorship of the Coastal LivingNewport Regatta, as well as coordinating cooperative advertisement in Coastal Living Magazine, which correspond with this annual event.
·Conceptualized, developed and was instrumental in planning Newport Restaurant Week, now in its 5thyear. The event attracts national sponsors (Kendall Jackson Wine, Sam Adams Beer, and American Express) and helps to increase restaurant revenue 30% on average during the weeklong event.
·Active committee member for Tour Rhode Island, a statewide event that served as an opportunity for Rhode Islanders to be tourists in their home state. Over 1000 residents take one of 24 tours to every corner of Rhode Island. I organized and coordinated the four Newport and Bristol County tours for this event.
·Coordinated and managed the volunteer information booth at the Newport Carefusion Jazz Festival and George Wein’s Newport Folk Festival.
·Manage the Newport Stylephile, the lifestyle blog of the Newport & Bristol County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Started in July of 2009, it has already seen over 30,000 unique visitors.
·Assumed in-house graphic design responsibilities for printed and digital material, saving the bureau approximately $25,000 annually in design costs.
·Overall responsibility for all social media. Plan, strategize and implement all social media projects, integrating all channels (twitter, facebook, Flickr, YouTube, blogs) and provide positive brand, image and voice for Bureau. Have accrued over 6,000 followers/friends on social media sites.
·Implement extensive monthly e-mail marketing campaign using Constant Contactâ. Design, write and send out monthly e-newsletters to subscribers. (which has grown to over 50,000 subscribers)
