Kassana Holden, the owner and Principal of Bergamot Studio, LLC, received her Bachelor of Arts from Goddard College in Vermont. She continued her education at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, studying drawing and printmaking, and at the University of Washington in Seattle, where she studied industrial design and photography. From 1987 to 1999, Kassana Holden was a part-time instructor in the Apparel Design & Services Program at Seattle Central Community College.In 2000, Kassana Holden took a position as a Textile Designer for the Eddie Bauer Home Division in Bellevue, Washington. Over a five-year period, she advanced to Associate Designer, Designer, and finally Design Director. Ms. Holden was responsible for a wide variety of design- and marketing-related functions and built strong partnerships with company teams domestically and abroad.From 2005 to 2010, Kassana Holden took on the added responsibilities of licensing products for the Home Division. During this period, she continued to work creatively in the design of home furnishings while also communicating seasonal creative changes, building brand identity, and working with licensing partners to increase royalty revenue. Ms. Holden was also responsible for re-launching the home textile business for the Eddie Bauer Home and Eddie Bauer Lodge labels.Taking the bold step of starting her own business, Kassana Holden created Bergamot Studio in 2010. Located in South Colby, Washington, Bergamot Studio offers home furnishing and design products that incorporate her dual passions for color and composition. The results are strikingly original artwork, wall coverings, stationery and greeting cards, custom textiles, lighting, and other home decor.In addition to her commercial artwork, Kassana Holden enjoys art and photography as personal interests. She also cooks, gardens, and travels in her free time. Ms. Holden supports Women for Women International, Amnesty International, Partners in Health, and the Food Alliance. She is also devoted to supporting the development of local businesses and the work of the Seattle Good Business Network.
