Summary

I have 15 years of experience as a professional services marketer in the architecture, engineering and construction industries. My wide range of responsibilities have included but are not limited to proposal management, client relations, publicity campaigns, and event planning.

Throughout my career, I have been an active member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) which has given me the opportunity to learn about emerging industry trends and develop my leadership abilities.

I served on the Board of Directors of SMPS New York and currently serves on the Board for SMPS Long Island as Vice President/President-Elect.

I have participated as a panelist for various industry-related presentations. My speaking engagements include an audioconference for Zweig White on networking, a panel discussion on media relations for the Fair Media Council, and a seminar on social media for SMPS-LI.

I have written articles on social media for Building Long Island magazine and networking for the SMPS Marketer.

Promotional & Collateral Materials

Oversee the preparation and applicable updates of websites and collateral materials. Prepare materials for trade shows and confirm shipping requirements with convention venue. Design advertisements for trade journals and commemorative programs.

Event Planning

Coordinate speaking opportunities for panelists Prepare logistics (including catering options, A/V requirements and seating) with venue Gather information (including bios, photos and program information) for hand-outs.

Market Research

Reviewing client websites, trade publications, local periodicals and capital improvement plans concerning upcoming and existing projects. Monitoring sources of industry-related market information; and developing and maintaining a network of contacts consisting of corporate, industry, government, municipal, and community representative to keep abreast of industry, client, and competitor activity.

Management/Leadership

Currently the Vice President/President-Elect of the Long Island Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services. Previous Board positions on the Long Island Chapter included Secretary and Public Relations Chair. Served on the Board of Directors of the New York Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services from 1998-2001.

Media Relations

Coordinate interviews between firm principal and publication. Act as a liaison to the public relations consultant. This also includes coordinating interview requests between the company president and various trade publications. Developing and maintain a press list that includes media contacts that are relevant to the area and industry.

Client Relations

Attend industry events. Screen and classify prospects though various methods such as referrals, networking and cold calls. Initiate and maintain contact with prospective clients and consultants to build a professional relationship and pursue project opportunities.

Presentation Preparation

Draft presentations in accordance with client requests and information provided in notifications. Assist in coaching staff that participate in presentation. Prepare materials that will be given to evaluation committee.

Proposal Management

Prepare proposals and qualification packages in accordance with requirements of the RFP. Assemble teams that will address technical requirements of potential project. Follow up on the status of upcoming project leads through trade journals, local publications and client websites. Research client websites and periodicals for project opportunities and updates to existing projects. Prepare prequalification proposals/questionnaires for various federal, state, and local government agencies.
